Salary Range: $43.527 to $55.457 per hour
Hours: 22.5 Hours Weekly
Shifts: 3 Days a week
Status: Temporary Part-Time

Position Summary
Engage collaboratively in a proficient and varied interdisciplinary team. This expertise is put into practice to evaluate, oversee, and provide treatment to patients across multiple services (e.g musculoskeletal, amputee, stroke, respiratory and geriatric populations). This is a split role covering MSK, Geriatric Rehab, Amputee Rehab and Complex Continuing Care.
This position is apart of the OPSEU bargaining unit.
Duties
- Role encompasses a range of duties such as patient education, assessment, and treatment, while also extending to the dissemination of knowledge to patients, their families, and colleagues within the team.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrating adeptness in fostering productive connections throughout various tiers of personnel and roles within an interdisciplinary team, along with a readiness to adapt to a versatile work timetable, while upholding a service ethos centered around clients and an advisory demeanor.
- Evaluation of the employee's disciplinary history will be part of the qualification assessment.
- Awareness of factors impacting the safety of patients, residents, employees, volunteers, and visitors.
- Designing and adapting patient treatment plans.
- Engaging in continuous professional growth, including active participation in relevant committees.
- Contribution to service planning and timely comprehensive completion of clinical documentation and workload statistics.
- Engaging in training and oversight of students and volunteers, alongside cooperative efforts with peers, while actively engaging in the facilitation of student education.
- Participation in Inter-professional Rounds and committees.
- Involvement in clinical evaluations.
- Contributing to the advancement of professional practice and services.
- Must be able to float to the other units within the hospital as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, or an equivalent qualification.
- Active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- Preferred qualification: ADP Authorizer.
- The ability to attain a minimum score of 80% on the Functional Independent Measure (FIM) certification exam during the probationary period and subsequent recertification exams if interested in working within specific rehabilitation units: Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Amputee Rehabilitation, Neurological Rehabilitation, TB Rehabilitation, and Respiratory Rehabilitation.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a rehabilitation/CCC setting preferred.
