Position Summary:
The successful candidate will develop and apply computational approaches to integrate immunopeptidomics, rich multi-omics and clinical data to identify tumor-associated antigens and support personalized and off-the-shelf cancer vaccine design. The project will leverage patient tumor sample and patient-derived organoid/xenograft resources, advanced mass spectrometry-based immunopeptidomics, and RNA medicine platforms. The Postdoctoral Researcher will join a highly collaborative translational research environment at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, with opportunities to work closely with other computational scientists, cancer biologists, clinicians, mass spectrometry experts, and RNA medicine teams.

Duties:

  • Multi-omics data analyses to identify therapeutic targets
  • Develop computational/deep learning methods for antigen discovery
  • Develop tools for cancer vaccine design

Qualifications

  • Awarded a PhD within the previous 5 years, or an MD or DDS within the previous 10 years
  • PhD and advanced expertise in one or more of the following fields: computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, computer science, statistics, cancer biology, and immunology
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or R are required
  • Experience in any of the following areas is highly preferred: cancer genomics, single cell/spatial multi-omics integration, immunogenomics, proteomics or immunopeptidomics, machine learning, cancer vaccine/antigen discovery
