Salary Range: $53,747 - $80,621 Per Year
Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week
Shifts: Monday - Friday
Status: Temporary Full-time

Position Summary:
As an integral member of research team the Clinical Data Abstractor works independently while performing the following responsibilities: acquisitioning clinical data from the charts of patients; entering data obtained into the RedCap/different database program; maintaining accurate records; performing cross-functional and other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned or requested.

Duties:

  • Acquisitions clinical data from the charts of patients in the different database program including RedCap.
  • Enters data obtained on a daily basis into the database program.
  • Ensures the completeness and accuracy of data entered.
  • Performs cross-functional and other duties consistent with the job classification duties, as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Diploma program in appropriate discipline is required
  • Completion of a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Science preferred.
  • General biology content knowledge.
  • MS-ACESS proficiency
  • Knowledge/experience for EMR systems, eg. EPIC/EPR etc
  • Experience working with RedCap
  • Preferred experience working with medical terminology
  • Specific computer knowledge – best obtained by the completion of a diploma course. (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal skills that are necessary to work in a high pressure environment and gain the cooperation of the health professionals working in this environment, working independently without supervision
  • Ability to perform all levels of position – data collection, data entry, report preparation, systems analysis.
  • Three (3) years experience maintaining a data base information system in a clinical environment.
