Position Summary
AGE-WELL is seeking a Research Associate II to lead the research, co-creation, and evaluation components of an exciting national initiative. The project focuses on designing, testing, and scaling a digital platform that consolidates AgeTech knowledge, tools, and evidence into a centralized, accessible hub for older adults, caregivers, researchers, and policymakers.
This role supports a national collaborative research initiative by AGE-WELL and the National Research Council of Canada’s Aging in Place Challenge Program.
This role will be primarily responsible for research and project management streams of the initiative:
- Research & Evaluation Leadership: You will lead a nationwide e-Delphi study to build ecosystem consensus on impact metrics for healthy aging, ensuring insights from co-creation activities are dynamically woven into the platform's core evaluation framework.
- Project Management & Alignment: You will provide operational leadership across multiple workstreams—tracking timelines, managing risks, and coordinating deliverables among diverse partners in academia, industry, government, and experts by lived experience.
In completing this work, the candidate will work closely with AGE-WELL and NRC project team members, and with partners across academia, industry, health systems, government, and experts by lived experience to ensure the platform and its curated components are evidence-informed, user-centered, and impactful.

Duties
- Lead research design and execution across project activities
- Provide strategic oversight and alignment of co-creation and engagement activities to ensure they inform research, evaluation, and platform development
- Support development and refinement of the platform through iterative testing
- Collaborate with project partners, including NRC, on integration of resources and alignment
- Contribute to project reporting, deliverables, and overall project coordination
- Identify and manage interdependencies, risks, and bottlenecks across project workstreams
- Support project planning, tracking, and reporting in collaboration with project leadership
- Contribute to high-level planning and project reporting, deliverables, and overall project coordination
- Ensure that insights from co-creation activities (e.g., workshops, communities of practice) are captured, synthesized, and translated into actionable evidence, metrics, and platform improvements
Qualifications
- Master's degree required. Graduate degree (PhD ) in a relevant field (e.g., gerontology, health sciences, public health, implementation science, human-computer interaction) preferred
- At minimum, 7 years experience, required
- Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder research or innovation projects
- Strong expertise in knowledge mobilization, co-creation, and/or implementation science
- Exceptional relationship management skills with a track record of working effectively alongside diverse groups, including academic researchers and experts by lived experience.
