Description:

The Department of Medical Imaging at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Department of Medical Imaging, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto are recruiting a Diagnostic Neuroradiologist. The candidate will participate in the clinical and academic activities of the Division of Neuroradiology. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. The start date is July 1, 2027 or later.

The successful candidate will perform research and teach undergraduate and postgraduate learners. The academic position description will be assigned based upon the candidate’s research and teaching strengths. Sunnybrook is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. The hospital is the largest stroke and trauma centre in Ontario and has busy Neurosurgical, Neurology, Neuro-oncology, Otolaryngology and Head & Neck programs. Four new clinical MRs are now installed, two 1.5T and two 3.0T. Four new clinical CT scanners and one clinical PET/CT are now installed. There are also three dedicated research MRs including a 7.0T system, and a dedicated research PET/MR.

Applicants must hold an MD or equivalent, be Board-certified or Board-eligible in Diagnostic Imaging from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or an equivalent international qualification, Residency training in Diagnostic Radiology and a minimum of two years clinical fellowship training in Neuroradiology is required. The candidate should be qualified to perform rare emergency coverage in all other aspects of Diagnostic Radiology, in particular chest, abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal. Skill in minor neuroradiology interventions such as lumbar punctures and spine biopsies is required. A demonstrated enthusiasm for after-hours (24/7) coverage is required. The candidate should be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Estimated remuneration will depend on your clinical income with a range that exceeds $300,000 per annum. Remuneration is commensurate with academic rank, qualifications, and experience.
