Course number and title: BCB410H1F – Applied Bioinformatics (50% FCE of Full Course)

Course Description: Practical introduction to concepts, standards and tools for the implementation of strategies in bioinformatics and computational biology. Student led discussions plus a strong component of hands-on exercises.

Qualifications: PhD in Bioinformatics or related field required. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is required. Prior experience teaching this or similar course at university level is preferred. R programming is required.

Description of duties: Delivery of lectures prepared by other instructors in this course; Prepare and grade assignments in accordance with University regulations as described in the Faculty of Arts & Science Academic Handbook. Holding Office Hours
