About Us
The Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto is at the center of one of North America’s largest biomedical research, education and clinical care networks. With 14 fully affiliated research-intensive hospitals — and dozens more community and clinical care sites — Temerty Medicine offers unparalleled opportunities in Canada’s most dynamic city for our more than 9,000 faculty and staff and 7,000 learners at all levels.
Your Opportunity
The Tanz Centre for Research in Neurodegenerative Diseases (Tanz CRND) at the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine is a self-funded research institute that provides international leadership in research, education and discovery related to neurodegenerative diseases.
The Toronto Dementia Research Alliance (TDRA) is a TAHSN-wide collaboration network based in Temerty Medicine. Partner institutions work together to better understand, prevent, and treat dementia by creating a stronger link between basic science and clinical research.
As Manager, Planning and Operations, you will provide leadership and direction in support of the research goals and missions of both the Tanz CRND and the TDRA. Serving as a strategic catalyst, you will ensure the effective stewardship of Tanz CRND and TDRA resources, driving the success of complex, multi-million dollar collaborative projects across multiple locations. You will champion operational efficiency and process optimization by managing investment and research accounts, forecasting expenditures, preparing complex budgets, and conducting deep financial analyses to deliver actionable, data-driven recommendations. Grounded in sharp financial acumen and exceptional people leadership, you will implement best practices across both fiscal and HR management, ensuring research teams have the tools, equipment, and resources necessary to directly empower breakthroughs in neurodegenerative research.
