Course Code and Title: MATB41H3 Techniques of the Calculus of Several Variables I
Course Description: Partial derivatives, gradient, tangent plane, Jacobian matrix and chain rule, Taylor series; extremal problems, extremal problems with constraints and Lagrange multipliers, multiple integrals, spherical and cylindrical coordinates, law of transformation of variables.

Qualifications: Previous teaching experience as the instructor of a Mathematics course at the university level (required). Previous teaching experience as the instructor for MATB41H3 or equivalent (strongly desirable).
Duties: All normal duties related to the design and teaching of an IN-PERSON university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; submission of a deferred exam; holding regular office hours; supervising TAs assigned to course.
Estimated TA Support (Hours): Up to 60 hours per tutorial; exact hours TBD.
