Your opportunity:
This role supports the development and implementation of integrated digital communications strategies that attract and engage prospective students, working closely under the guidance of the Manager, Student Recruitment Communications. The Student Recruitment Communications Officer creates and coordinates digital content across print, web and social media platforms, ensuring consistentmessaging, branding, and user experience aligned with recruitment goals. The position collaborates with internal partners across the University to deliver coordinated campaigns, optimize digital assets through SEO and data-driven insights, and enhance website functionality and content. Additionally, the role contributes to campaign analysis, produces promotional materials, fosters engagement with prospective student communities online, and provides guidance on digital communications best practices to support effective and measurable recruitment outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing digital communication plans across a broad range of marketing/communication channels
- Advising on best practices and strategies to maximize digital and print communication initiatives
- Analyzing metrics to identify trends
- Liaising with colleagues across the University to ensure consistent and/or integrated messaging
- Analyzing andrecommending options for the development of visual expression/layout of print and digital assets
- Producing digital and printed promotional and outreach materials
- Maintaining information on digital platforms
- Resolving minor complaints about content and technical errors, referring larger issues when appropriate
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum four years of relevant experience in communications and outreach in a university setting.
- Experience developing design and layout of print and digital communications.
- Experience creating digital and printed promotional and outreach materials.
- Experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) database.
- Experience with social media technologies, including content management and web platforms such as Wordpress and Drupal, image editing, RSVP management toolsand survey creation tools.
- Demonstrated experience developing relationships and interacting effectively with diverse prospect and applicant populations.
- Experience with videography and photography tools and utilizing applications for producing content.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to work in collegial manner with applicants, students, office colleagues, staff and faculty.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Initiative and creativity required, along with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills
- Solid analytical and investigative skills are critical.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak periods.
