Job Description

Vention is looking for a Production Manager to lead our mechanical and electrical assembly operations. You will oversee the performance, documentation, and development of teams producing automation components such as industrial controllers, motors, actuators and pneumatic manifolds. This role is at the core of our operations — ensuring on-time delivery, quality standards, and the continuous evolution of our manufacturing capabilities.

You are both a coach and a builder: someone who leads by example, drives standardization, and partners closely with engineering, design, purchasing, and logistics to bring product ideas to life on the floor.

What You will do:

  • Lead and coach mechanical and electrical assembly teams to achieve high quality, throughput, and accountability.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles and 5S practices to structure workflows and optimize efficiency.
  • Maintain and continuously improve standard work documentation (work instructions, visuals, BOM references).
  • Ensure IPC-compliant production practices and adherence to industry quality standards.
  • Track and improve KPIs related to quality, throughput, inventory accuracy, and service level.
  • Implement root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring production issues.
  • Partner with engineering on design for manufacturability (DFM) and ramp-up of new product introductions (NPI).
  • Own training plans and support technician development across skill levels and product lines.
  • Manage inventory control processes and drive component readiness strategies.
  • Champion continuous improvement projects to reduce waste, standardize work, and improve lead time.

Qualifications

  • College or university degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial production (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment with team leadership responsibility.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean tools, 5S, root cause analysis (RCA), and production system implementation.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, 620) and quality inspection protocols for assemblies.
  • Solid understanding of CAD drawings and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/WMS systems.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and evolving demands.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead teams and coordinate across departments.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and committed to operational excellence
