Job Description
As Large Deals Project Manager within the PMO, you will own the end-to-end delivery of Vention's large orders—typically high-value, multi-line assemblies built by our operations team for enterprise customers. These projects require rigorous planning, financial tracking, contract discipline, technical change management and proactive customer communication.
Reporting directly to the PMO Director, you will operate at the intersection of sales hand-off, operations execution, supply chain, and customer success.
Key responsibilities
Project delivery ownership
- Own the full project lifecycle for large deals: pre-sales involvement, kick-off, scheduling, milestone tracking, shipping, and financial close.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project plans using Vention's planning tools.
- Monitor project health and proactively identify schedule, scope, or cost risks; escalate early to PMO Director and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain project data in the existing reporting tools.
- Coordinate closely with the operations and supply chain teams to ensure build readiness, parts availability, and on-time shipment.
Customer & contract management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise customers from sales hand-off through delivery and initial post-delivery support (responding and resolving quality issues and installation challenges).
- Manage customer communications with clarity and professionalism; set and uphold expectations on scope, schedule, and deliverables.
- Track contractual obligations, change orders, and commercial milestones in close coordination with the sales and finance teams.
- Escalate and resolve commercial or contractual issues in partnership with the PMO Director and Sales
Cross-functional coordination
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering to align priorities and unblock delivery.
- Coordinate with the Implementation & Partner Programs Manager where projects involve third-party fulfillment or automation partners.
- Act as a relay between the field and product teams: capture recurring delivery issues and feed structured improvement proposals back to Engineering and Product.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in a project lead, technical coordinator, or program management role in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing contracts, change orders, and commercial milestones with enterprise or industrial customers.
- Proven ability to reliably update meaningful project reports and KPIs.
- Experience with project planning tools (Asana, or equivalent).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is a strong asset.
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills: comfortable operating across sales, operations, supply chain, and finance.
Desirable
- CAPM certification (or actively pursuing PMP); demonstrates a commitment to project management as a professional discipline.
- Familiarity with industrial automation, robotics, or hardware manufacturing environments.
- Experience with ERP or supply chain management systems.
