VoPay is a leading embedded financial technology platform that enables software companies, financial institutions, and enterprises to automate and modernize financial operations. Through our API-first platform, customers can embed payments, account verification, compliance services, virtual accounts, treasury management, and financial workflows directly into their products and operations.
As we continue to scale across North America, we are seeking an experienced Sales Director to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth across key verticals including software platforms, lenders, property management, insurance, healthcare, and other enterprise markets.
The Opportunity
This is a senior individual contributor role focused on selling. Unlike traditional Account Executive positions, this role is designed for an experienced enterprise seller who can navigate complex buying committees, build executive relationships, structure business cases, and close strategic opportunities.
The Sales Director will own the entire sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution and will be responsible for building a portfolio of high-value customers that contribute to VoPay's long-term growth. This role is focused on acquiring and expanding direct customer relationships.
It is not a partnership management role.
VoPay's Head of Strategic Alliances is responsible for building relationships with software companies, banks, payment providers, acquirers, and strategic partners that create distribution opportunities. The Sales Director is responsible for converting qualified opportunities into revenue-generating customer relationships.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Sales & Business Development
- Identify, engage, and acquire new enterprise customers
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline of strategic opportunities
- Own the entire sales process from initial outreach through contract execution
- Conduct executive-level discovery and business case development
- Develop account strategies and multi-thread relationships within target organizations
- Lead commercial negotiations and coordinate internal resources throughout the sales cycle
- Consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets
Strategic Account Development
- Build trusted relationships with C-level executives and senior decision makers
- Identify opportunities to expand customer adoption of VoPay's platform and services
- Develop long-term account growth strategies in collaboration with Customer Success
- Support major expansion opportunities and commercial discussions
Solution Selling
- Understand customer operational challenges and align VoPay's platform capabilities to business outcomes
- Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Solutions Consulting teams
- Build ROI models, business cases, and value propositions tailored to each opportunity
- Position VoPay as a strategic technology partner rather than a transactional vendor
Market Development
- Develop expertise within target industries and customer segments
- Represent VoPay at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings
- Provide market feedback to product and executive leadership
- Help refine messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 8+ years of enterprise sales experience in SaaS, technology, fintech, payments, or API-driven businesses
- Proven history of achieving and exceeding enterprise sales targets
- Experience selling complex solutions with multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models and recurring revenue environments
- Experience building executive-level relationships and navigating enterprise procurement processes
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience in embedded finance, payments, banking technology, lending technology, treasury management, or financial infrastructure
- Experience selling to software platforms, financial institutions, lenders, property management organizations, insurance companies, or enterprise businesses
- Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and platform-based technology solutions
- Experience working in high-growth technology companies

Salary Range:$130,000-150,000 (OTE $250,000)
Compensation
