We're looking for an HR Generalist to help shape how employees experience our workplace from their first day through every milestone after. You'll curate the moments that make people feel welcomed, recognized, and connected, while also building the operational HR foundation that keeps our Wattpad HR team running smoothly.

What You'll Do:
Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees regarding all aspects of employment and the employee lifecycle
Manage HR processes and interpret HR policies, ensuring a clear and consistent approach
Lead the employee experience by drafting communications, coordinating events, and administering calendars
Manage the onboarding experience, including: orientation sessions, first-week programming, and check-ins that help new employees ramp up
Manage the off-boarding experience, including all HR processes and conducting exit interviews
Manage and administer employee leaves, accommodations, and initial employee relations inquires
Support cyclical People processes (performance reviews, engagement surveys, compliance tasks) with scheduling, tracking, and reporting
Required Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in HR, people operations, employee experience or talent acquisition.
Ability to communicate in a confidential and clear manner with employees and managers.
Experience with an HRIS (e.g, ADP Workforce Now, BambooHR)
Strong written communication skills: you can write a crisp, warm employee announcement without heavy editing.
Organized and reliable: you juggle multiple programs, deadlines, and budgets without letting things slip.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Discretion and good judgment with confidential information.
Nice To Haves:
Experience managing vendors or program budgets.
Familiarity with immigration processes including LMIAs and work permits.
Strong understanding of employment standards.
Ability to interpret HR policies.
Working toward CHRP designation or equivalent.
