What’s neXT50 (www.whatsnext50.com) is a not-for-profit global community of 1,600+ Transitioners (mid-to-late career individuals and self-described retirees). Our digitally enabled community empowers members to:

About the role
The Community Engagement Manager will help design, manage, and monitor the What’s neXT50 global online community platform. This individual will be responsible for community outreach and the creation of curated events, content, and other programming that advances the organization’s mission.
They will develop a deep understanding of what brings value to community members and, working closely with a team of Senior Volunteer Advisors, guide the implementation of programming that:

Creates opportunities for giving back
This role reports to the Founder/CEO and works closely with Senior Volunteer Advisors to ensure member interactions align with the organization’s priorities and strategic direction.
This is a newly created hybrid position starting part-time (20 hours per week). The organization intends to fund a full-time role within six months.
Desired qualifications
The Community Engagement Manager will have a minimum of five (5) years of prior experience in:

Tactical oversight of a digital platform designed to promote community interaction and engagement

Designing online content and programming suited to a global community of Transitioners

Event planning and production, including demonstrated success managing event logistics

Marketing through online and social media, as well as traditional channels

Proficiency with technology tools including MS Office, Google Analytics, Typeform, MailChimp, and Zoom
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset, are essential.
