About The Role

Canadian Tire Bayers Lake is looking for an energetic and experienced Seasonal & Sports Supervisor to join their team. Reporting to the Department Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving a great customer experience, maintaining high merchandising standards, and supporting a team of associates through the department's busiest and most dynamic seasons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of associates to deliver consistent service and execution standards
  • Play a central role in planning and executing seasonal changeovers, promotional sets, and planograms
  • Maintain department presentation across Sports and Seasonal categories — endcaps, signage, pricing, and floor layout
  • Conduct daily floor walks, manage task prioritization, and keep the department customer-ready at all times
  • Handle customer escalations with confidence and professionalism
  • Support inventory accuracy, replenishment routines, and shrink awareness
  • Ensure health & safety compliance and uphold store policies

What We're Looking For

  • Retail background required; Canadian Tire experience is a strong asset
  • 2+ years in a supervisory, keyholder, or acting leadership role
  • Strong merchandising instincts and ability to execute under pressure
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Comfortable with retail technology (handheld/RF devices, inventory systems)
  • Physically able to handle merchandise and work in a hands-on floor environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • $42,000–$45,000 annually (based on experience)

Schedule

Full-time | Days, evenings, and weekends required. Standard shifts are 8am–5pm or 12pm–9pm, with one closing shift and one on-call duty rotation per week.
